I think everyone knows my man crush on Tom Chick. And if you’ve been following along at home, you noticed he scored a regular column over at The Escapist.
What you might not have known is that he’s on part four of a series on Lord Of The Rings Online. It is, of course, brilliantly hilarious writing; But even more than that, it’s really got me interested in firing up LotRO again.
I say “again,” because I played very VERY briefly in the beta. But because (say it with me, folks!) MY COMPUTER SUCKS, I couldn’t play very long.
So I have absolutely no explanation as to why I then went out and pre-ordered the Collector’s Edition.
Sigh.
Of course I want to support Turbine, but… Well, okay, I DO know – I’m a sucker for “behind the scenes” DVDs. And now there it sits, on my shelf – right next to the Limited Edition Burning Crusade. Both uninstalled, both just…waiting.
Yeah, I’m a schlep. But one of these days, I really hope to have the time to sit down and play. And maybe the duckies to get a computer that they’ll run respectably on.
