Someone (A Staffer) Set Them Up (Created A Prop) Bomb (Prop Bomb) But Forgot To Mention It?

Although I loathe G4 and what it has become, I don’t particularly wish them ill. I think most gamers share that view. So I was a bit surprised to hear that their offices were evacuated yesterday because of a “bomb threat.”

The G4 production offices at 12312 Olympic Blvd. were evacuated this morning in response to the discovery of a suspicious device within the building and authorities were immediately called on site. After investigating the situation and taking all safety precautions, it was determined to be a non-threatening device and employees were safe to return to the building.

Only – according to Destructoid – the “suspicious device” was actually a prop bomb for use in one of their shows.

Now, call me crazy, but if you were constructing a prop bomb, wouldn’t logic dictate that you either make it obviously look like a prop, or, if you need it to look real, maybe inform people that it’s a prop?

I’m sure there’s a story in there that’s even more embarrassing to everyone involved, but I’m betting that right now they’re just thankful their studios aren’t in Boston…
