Wow, this one was nice and late, huh? My apologies – although we actually completed it on time, of course I held everything up. Woody, Dr. Sexy and Kwip discuss affordable gaming for the thrifty.

Hey guys,
Another really fun cast. I liked the tiered approach. I was actually a Station Pass subscriber for a while. It’s a cool concept. Too bad the concept is probably better then the games offered, though i’m probably one of the random folks that actually liked EQ 2 a bit.
It’s interesting to see how the MMO environment is changing. How many games now are:
1. Starting off without an upfront cost (Sage of Ryzom now, for example)
2. Free, but limited content (Anarchy Online)
3. No monthly costs (Guild Wars)
4. Making older content free (Dark Age of Camelot)
Anarchy Online to me was a pretty big move, industry speaking (but maybe not for the company itself), because they offer the full original game completely free. And I actually kind of enjoyed it a bit.
Oh, the expensive EverQuest servers were the Legends servers I believe.
