This week we reveal our new crown: Cross-Gender Comic Book Podcasting Mixed Martial Arts Combat Champions, we discuss some of the Free Comic Book Day comics, life with babies, F’ing Zach sucks, the lack of Dan Slott in our lives, Birds Of Prey, the Ultimates storyline and general Marvel silliness.
I’m not saying we’re going to take it as extreme as Andy Kaufman, but yes, we are now the reigning Cross-Gender Comic Book Podcasting Mixed Martial Arts Combat Champions.
Wait, what? INTER-Gender? Oh. Right. That too.
If you didn’t go out for Free Comic Book Day, you really missed out. I have a GIANT stack of comics that I’m working through right now. I don’t know if the REAL version of Driver for the Dead is going to be as awesome as the preview was, but I certainly hope so. I really liked that concept!
F’ing Zach was supposed to be putting together a show for you all today. It’s because of his incompetence we had to step in and provide entertainment for you masses! Had he come through for us, you would even NOW be weeping tears of pure bliss as the comedic stylings of Tyr, Zach and Bini elevated you to new planes of humor!
But no, F’ing Zach sucks. Let’s all mock him!
I really do miss Dan Slott’s stories. I’m not sure what’s going to happen with all these new/relaunched titles, nor do I know what his secret project is, but hopefully something I can dig. That comes out soon. (For cheaps).
Have we mentioned lately how adorable Henry is?
So I wasn’t overly digging Birds of Prey. Not anything to do with Gail’s writing, of course – it’s just that they’re all characters that I don’t really care for/about (except Hawk). They lack Ragdoll, obviously. Still, I can’t WAIT for the next Welcome To Tranquility series…
Not sure how I feel about Ultimates. I’ve heard a lot of discouraging things about it, but the tiny bit I read (Thor being deeply religious) really came across well and seemed interesting. I may have to break down and try it out on Dr. Sexy’s recommendation.
