So after a long hiatus, I re-installed Half Life and the greatest mod ever known to man, Sven Coop. (If you want to learn more about it, you can also read the wiki article). This is perfect for me because with my very limited time, I can jump in for about ten minutes at a pop and finish a map.
Seriously, this is the most funnest game EVER, and it’s almost 10 years old. It can run on any rig that original half-life can run on (ie, everything), so it is well worth your time even if you think your computer sucks. Some of the maps are incredibly complex and take a great deal of puzzle-solving to get through, some require teamwork, and some just require a great deal of ammo. But it is the best mod out there and absolutely worth it’s price (free).
If you do decide to try it out, make sure to snag the Big One Map Pack, also. Yeah, it’s almost a gig – about twice the size of Sven itself – and it’s FULLLLLL of awesomeness.
