Comics N3RDCast 06 September, 2010: Storming Baltimore with the Fictory!
Posted by Kwip on September 6th, 2010 | No Comments
After the hard-fought battle over which donuts to purchase at market, Dr. Sexy, HappyJack and Kwip sit down with the hardened veterans Jeff McComsey, Steve Becker, Dominic Vivona and Joe Krzemienski of The Fictory. We discuss their hugely successful debut of the awesome FUBAR at the Baltimore Comic Con and the incredible work they’re doing on Atomic Robo: Last Stop.
It was exciting for all of us to witness the birth of FUBAR as all the N3RDs contributed to this effort – HappyJack did some lettering, Dr. Sexy helped with color correction, and I supplied everyone with hand release. Oh, and penned a lousy story that the awesome Jorge Vega edited and the incredible artist Darrin Stephens turned into a great read (the guy draws golems like nobody’s business!). But to hold the finished product in our hands was pretty damn exciting, and to hear how awesome the guys did at Baltimore was even better. They’re landing at New York Comic Con next, so clear your schedule now and prepare to have your faces rocked!
Speaking of rocking, we also discussed the work going into Robo. If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, stop screwing around and go check it out.
